One bad import can change years of records
Accounting data changes constantly, and a single mistake can touch many records at once:
- A bulk deletion or a bad import that rewrites transactions.
- A compromised or misused login.
- A third-party app that syncs the wrong data into your books.
Without an independent backup, putting your books back the way they were means rebuilding them by hand.
Your QuickBooks company, as a protected object
Each QuickBooks company is a protected object in your CloudVision dashboard, backed up and checked against the same 24-hour backup SLA as your mailboxes and files. It appears in your daily report next to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, so your finance data is never the one service nobody checks.
Fully managed, from your books’ first backup to every restore
Our engineers connect QuickBooks, run the first backup and confirm it is reporting in your dashboard. From then on, protecting your books is our job, end to end:
QuickBooks backup: common questions
Do you back up QuickBooks Desktop?
No. CloudVision backs up QuickBooks Online, Intuit’s cloud accounting software. QuickBooks Desktop company files aren’t covered.
How much does QuickBooks Online backup cost?
We don’t publish a price list, because every proposal is scoped to your organisation. After a free 15-minute demo or a free 30-day trial on your own data, you get a clear, no-obligation proposal with no hidden fees. It covers fully managed backup, 24/7 monitoring, the CloudVision Daily Backup Report and managed restores. Intuit’s own Online Backup and Restore app is for QuickBooks Online Advanced.
Can I download a backup of QuickBooks Online?
Partly. Intuit says that to back up your data manually, you can export it to Excel, which gives you spreadsheets to keep. On QuickBooks Online Advanced, Intuit’s Online Backup and Restore app keeps a copy too, but Intuit says it doesn’t back up pricing rules, scheduled repeating transactions, bank connections, customised reports or activity log records, and it restores only to within one previous calendar year (Intuit’s help pages, checked 28 October 2026). CloudVision keeps an independent backup of your QuickBooks Online company, checked against a 24-hour backup SLA, and our UK team restores it for you. Our guide to backing up QuickBooks Online has the step-by-step export.
Can I see QuickBooks alongside Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Yes. QuickBooks sits in the same CloudVision dashboard and the same CloudVision Daily Backup Report as the rest of your cloud services.
Who restores QuickBooks data if something goes wrong?
We do. Tell us what happened and our UK team restores your data from your CloudVision backup.
How often is QuickBooks backed up?
As frequently as real time. Each QuickBooks company is also checked against a 24-hour backup SLA, so if a backup falls behind, it’s flagged in your dashboard and fixed.
How long are QuickBooks backups kept?
As long as your policy requires: retention is configurable, so you can match it to the record-keeping rules your business follows. Backups are stored in the UK by default and encrypted at rest and in transit.
How quickly can we be protected?
We connect QuickBooks in minutes, then run the first backup and confirm your company is reporting in your dashboard. The first full backup can take longer for companies with a lot of history.
Who fixes a backup that fails?
We do. If a QuickBooks company misses the 24-hour backup SLA, it’s flagged in your dashboard and in the CloudVision Daily Backup Report, and our UK team picks it up and fixes it, 24/7.
